Nigeria beat Egypt in AFCON Group D Opening Game

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday defeated the Pharaohs of Egypt in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Game at the Roumdé Adija Stadium, Garoua, Cameroon, 1-0 it ended in favour of the Nigerian National side.

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho's brilliant strike in the 30th minute of the first half gave Augustine Eguavoen's led side a superb victory in Group D opening fixture.


The Egyptians were better in ball possession but the Nigerians played quality football that prevented the Egyptians from scoring, and were also very strong in the attack, it was a bad day for the Pharaoh Boys. See the match details below;
