FIFA U-20 WWCQ: Falconets Thrash Congo in Brazzaville

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria U-20 National Women's Team, the Falconets on Sunday walloped Congo in the first leg leg of the 2022 FIFA Women's World Cup Qualifier third round, the game ended 4-0 in Brazzaville.

The Falconets dominated the entire game and goals from Mercy Idoko, Flourish Sebastine, Esther Onyenezide (Spot Kick), and Deborah Ajibola in the 38th, 47th, 50th and 55th minute earned the Chris Danjuma's led side a massive 4-0 victory over their Congolese counterparts at the Stade Alphonse Massamba-Debat in Brazzaville, to keep their Costa Rica 2022 World Cup dreams alive.

The return leg hold on Sunday December 18, 2021, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

The 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World hold in Costa Rica from 10 to 28 August, 2022, and 16 teams from 6 Confederations are expected to participate in the tournament. Two teams will represent Africa. The tournament will be held in two Stadia and Cities, they are; Estadio Nacional (San José), Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto (Alajuela).
