By Olamide Oyetunji - Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr has submitted a large 40-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for 2022. The 68-year-old tactician has included some players whom are making headlines in Europe especially strikers with decent figures.

It is no longer news that Saudi based Odion Ighalo returned to the squad ahead of the big African fiesta but there are some few new faces in the team. Gernot Rohr has also included Cyriel Dessers of Feyenoord, Emmanuel Dennis of Watford FC, Taiwo Awoniyi of Union Berlin, Sadiq Umar, Paul Onuachu, Kelechi Iheanacho. Super Eagles will compete with Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau in Group D of the competition that will be staged in Cameroon.
