Three Nigerian Wrestlers Survive as WWE Sack Keith Lee, Nia Jax and 16 Others

By Olamide Oyetunji - World Wrestling Entertainment popularly known as WWE has reportedly come to terms with the release of several stars, with the wrestlers coming from Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and NXT 2.0. Fews hours ago, rumours was circulating on social media that WWE was preparing to release several names, and these individuals have now been revealed by various reports.
According to Fightful and PWInsider, their reports had it that WWE released 18 wrestlers, with some rather surprising names on that list. Below is the full list of talent that WWE reportedly released at least as known of right now. B-Fab, Ember Moon, Eva Marie, Frankie Monet, Gran Metalik, Harry Smith, Jeet Rama, Jessi Kamea, Karrion Kross, Katrina Cortez, Keith Lee, Lince Dorado, Mia Yim, Nia Jax, Oney Lorcan, Scarlett, Trey Baxter and Zayda Ramier. Meanwhile, three wrestlers of Nigerian descent are some of the athletes the decision makers of the famous sporting entertainment industry had certified useful and will continue their trades as parts of the RAW roaster.
The trio Apollo Crews(Sesugh Uhaa), Commander Azeez(Babatunde Aiyegbusi) and Omos(Jordan Omogbehin) will continue to wrestle until further notice.
Further report from Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer which has been corroborated by Sean Ross Sapp stated that the talent releases were due to "budget cuts". Sapp notes that talent were emailed and told about the releases as "budget cuts" in an email from John Laurinitis.
