By Emmanuel Oladele - Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was target for Leicester City in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday as the Foxes recorded a superb 3-1 win over Polish side Legia Warsaw.
Zambian International Paston Daka opened scoring for the Foxes in the 11th minute. Leicester's Barnes with a great move in the Legia's defence area, cutting-off some defenders before passing the ball to Daka inside the box, the Zambian fired a low shot to take his goal tally to five in the UEFA Europa League.
In the 21st minute, James Maddison had a superb finish to give Leicester a 2-0 lead, the Englishman scored from a great effort from Ademola Lukeman.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi conceded a penalty which was taken by Legia's Mahir Emreli but was saved by Kasper Schmiechel, before Filip Mladenovic went for the rebound to take the scoreline to 2-1 in the 26th minute.
The moment of the game was in the 33rd minute of the first half, when Wilfred Ndidi rises above Legia's defenders to score with a brilliant header, the Nigerian benefited from James Maddison intelligent corner kick to end the first half 3-1 in favour of the host.The second half of the game produced no goal.
Ndidi's compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho replaced Paston Daka in the 85th minute.
After the entire game time, it's Leicester City 3-1 Legia Warsaw, so it ended at the King Power Stadium on Thursday. The Brendan Rodgers led side now top Group C with 8 points after five games. Spartak Moscow and Napoli are second and third respectively with seven points each, while Legia Warsaw are fourth with 6 points.
