By Emmanuel Oladele - English Premier League side Watford have announced the signing of Nigerian International Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye from Sparta Rotterdam. The Super Eagles of Nigeria Goalkeeper joined the club after reaching an agreement with the English team, but will return on loan to the Netherlands side Sparta Rotterdam until the end of 2021/22 league season.
The English Premier League side also confirmed the update on their official social media page in a post which read as follows; "✍️ We're pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached to sign Maduka Okoye on January 1, 2022.
The Nigerian goalkeeper joins from Sparta Rotterdam where he will return on loan until the end of the 2021/22 campaign."
The 22-year-old will also be going on the International break with the Super Eagles of Nigeria as they trade tackles with Liberia and Cape Verde in Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
