Qatar 2022 WCQ: Portugal, Italy get Unfavourable Playoff Draw

By Emmanuel Oladele - Portugal or Italy could be missing in the next FIFA world cup as both sides have been drawn in same Path for the 2022 World Cup Euro Playoffs.

Portugal and Italy were drawn in Path C alongside Turkey and North Macedonia. Portugal and Turkey will have a face-off, likewise Italy and North Macedonia, the winner of each fixture will trade tackles to get Path C ticket.

Italy inability to pick the ticket means they will be missing in the World Cup for the second time consecutively, a miss for Portugal also means, Star player Cristiano Ronaldo will not be featuring in the next World Cup. Both Portugal and Italy failed to win their groups and are now in danger of missing Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

For other Paths, Wales, Austria, Scotland and Ukraine were drawn in Path A, while Russia, Poland, Sweden and Czech Republic were drawn in Path B. See details below;
