Nigeria makes World Cup Qualifiers Final Round after 1-1 Draw with Cape Verde

The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday evening played a 1-1 draw with Cape Verde to progress to the final round of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

In the game that was held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen scored  Nigeria's only goal in the first minute of the encounter before Stopira levelled the game for Cape Verde with a super strike to end the first half in a 1-1 draw, as the second half failed to produced no goal. Cape Verde Goalkeeper Vozinha was instrumental to the Blue Sharks result in the thrilling encounter as he had several saves to keep the Cape Verdeans in the game.
Before the game, Nigeria needed just a point to enter the final round and was able to picked a draw in the encounter. On the other hand, the game was a must win for the Bubister led side but could only get a draw, thereby finishing second in Group C with 11 points, while Nigeria bags 13 points to advance into the final round. In the final round (third round), winners of the 10 groups in the second round will be drawn into five home-and-away ties. A winner will emerge from each fixture, and will advance to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup which holds between November 21 to December 18, 2022. Five Teams will represent Africa.
After the entire game time. it's Nigeria 1-1 Cape Verde, so it ended at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos in a World Cup Qualifier matchday 6.
