Super Falcons' Contingent Jet Out to Accra - Morocco 2022 AWCON Qualifier

By Emmanuel Oladele - Super Falcons contingent comprising of players and officials departed Lagos on Saturday morning at around 5:00am to ACCRA, Ghana for the second leg of the Africa Women's Cup of Nations Qualifier against the Black Queens of Ghana. The team departed Nigeria in a Chartered flight (Air Peace) provided by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).


The team Media Officer Tobechukwu Oluchi confirmed their departure in the early hours of Saturday via a social media post, which read as follows; "Its 5am Saturday morning, We are aboard Air peace(Chartered flight, thanks to the NFF president ) to Ghana for our 2nd leg Awcon qualifier against the Black Queens.

We hope to make Nigerians happy with a good scoreline.

Match day: Sunday 5pm Nigerian time."

The match comes up on Sunday 24th October in Accra, at 5:00PM Nigeria Time (+1 GMT).

Recall, in the mid-week, Nigeria defeated Ghana in the first leg at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos by 2-0, thanks to Uchenna Kanu's double. A win on aggregate for the Super Falcons after the two legs will see them face Côte d'Ivore or Niger in their final game of the qualifiers.
