CAR 0-2 NIG: Nigeria takes Revenge as Balogun, Osimhen fires Super Eagles to Victory in Douala

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday took revenge of their 1-0 loss to Central African Republic in Lagos, as they beat Les Fauves by 2-0 in Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifier matchday 4 in Douala.

Goals from Glasgow Rangers' defender Leon Balogun and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the 29' and 45+1' respectively were enough to earn Nigeria the third win in Group C.

Recall, the Raoul Savoy's led side stunned the Super Eagles with a 1-0 win in Lagos on Thursday in Matchday 3, but the Nigerians were too hot for the 124th FIFA ranked Central African Republic in matchday 4 on Sunday.

The win means Nigeria now have 9 points from four games, and currently top Group C, while Central African Republic have 4 points from four games.

Other group C game between Cape Verde and Liberia will hold later today at 17:00 Nigeria Time (+1 GMT).
