Ronaldo top the List of Highest Paid Footballers in the World

By Emmanuel Oladele - According to Forbes, Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo is now the highest paid footballer in the world. Ronaldo will earn $125m before tax. The Portuguese beat rival Lionel Messi to emerged highest football earner.

The former Real Madrid forward will have $70m of his earning coming from salary and bonuses with his current club, Manchester United. His partnership and personal endorsements of brands such as; Nike,Herbalife among others, will fetch him the remaining $55m.

On the other hand, Messi who recently joined Paris Saint-Germain is second on the list. Just as Ronaldo, Messi will earn $110m, $75m at his new club from salary and bonuses, $35m from his endorsements of companies such as, Budweiser, Pepsi, Adidas among others.
