Falconets depart Nigeria for FIFA U20 World Cup Qualifier in Douala

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigerian U20 Women's team, the Falconets departed Nigeria on Wednesday night for Douala to face Central African Republic in a FIFA U20 Women World Cup Qualifier. The team led by head coach Christopher Danjuma left Nigeria with 23 players after weeks of camping and preparations in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Central African Republic got to this stage after Equatorial Guinea's U20 withdrew from the preliminary fixture slated for August. They will now face Nigerian U20 Girls at the Stade Japoma de Douala in Cameroon, a stadium adopted by the Central African Republic as CAF have not approved any stadium in their country to hold international games.

The game holds this Saturday (25th September) at 3:00PM Cameroon Time.
