CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Akwa Utd to Land in Algeria Friday Night

BY MFON PATRICK - Nigerian Champions Akwa United will jet out of Nigeria today Friday 17th September, 2021 and are expected to arrive Algerian capital Algiers late in the night for the second installment of their CAF Champions League preliminary round game against CR Belouizdad scheduled for Sunday.

Akwa United's contingent will fly out of Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital in the afternoon, onboard Ibom Air and land in Abuja for Custom checks and clearance before embarking on a five hours flight from Abuja to Algiers.

The Promise Keepers holds the advantage going into the second leg in Algiers after recording a 1-0 win over CR Belouizdad last Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

A team of 24 players, five coaches, backroom staff, and other top officials of the club will make the trip.
