Italy beat England in Penalty Shootout to win European Championship

By Emmanuel Oladele - Italy defeated England on Sunday in the final of the 2020 European Championship to win the title for the 5th time.

Luke Shaw got the first goal of the game for England in 2nd minute of the first half, and they were the better side in the first half. In the 67th minute of the encounter, Leonardo Bonucci restored parity to Italy in the 67th of the encounter.

The game ended 1-1 in Normal time and the scoreline still remained the same at the end of 30 minutes extra time, the game later went into penalty shootout.

At the end of penalty shootout, it Italy 1(3)-(2)1 England, so it ended in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday at the Wembley Stadium.
