By Emmanuel Oladele - News coming from the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna revealed that the home team fans have intercepted the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 27 encounter between Kano Pillars and Akwa United.
The match was interrupted in the 90th minute as Kano Pillars fans encroached the pitch. The encounter was at 0-0 as at the moment the fans encroached the pitch to intimidate the match officials. Read the report below as revealed by Akwa United;

"Kano Pillars fans are on the pitch after a clear offside goal was disallowed. Police are on the pitch also. They have stopped us from recording the incident."
"The match Commissioner is urging the refrees to continue with the game under a clearly unsafe environment. The crowd here is beyond control and it's simply unplayable. It's 6:20pm."
"We have been escorted out by few Pillars players and we are now inside our team bus but the crowd outside won't let us move. Pillars just drove out of the stadium."
"We have finally been escorted out of the stadium by two police vans and we are on our way back to the hotel. To God be the Glory."
The match was later abandoned. The Nigeria Football Federation and League Management Company should investigate this matter and bring a lasting solution.
