By Emmanuel Oladele - The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Thursday morning put up a hard fight against USA in the Summer Series, but the Americans proved why they are world champions, despite Falcons hard fight, they lost by 2-0 to USA.
Goals from Christen Press and Lynn Williams in the first half and second half respectively were enough to give the American a deserved 2-0 victory of the Africa Champions.
The Nigerians were not doing so much to attack but were doing everything possible to keep the Americans away from their half. Inability of the Falcons to also hold-on to ball possession cost the Africa Champions against the World Champions. The Super Falcons error rate also contributed to their defeat on Thursday morning, the team's coach, Randy Waldrum will have to take a critical look at all the errors committed in all the three games for possible corrections.
