Enyimba gets away win over Abia Warriors, climb to 5th on the log

By Emmanuel Oladele - Enyimba international on Thursday morning snatched a 1-0 away win from Abia Warriors in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rescheduled fixture. The game started on Wednesday but witnessed just 24 minutes of action at the Okigwe Township Stadium, due to heavy downpour and waterlogged pitch.

Enyimba forward Victor Chukwuma Mbaoma already scored a great goal for the People's Elephants on Wednesday via a superb pass from Austin Oladapo in the 12th minute to give Enyimba a 1-0 lead.

The game resumed on Thursday and the remaining minutes played ended with no goal, but Enyimba goal scored on Wednesday separated the two teams, as the NPFL Giants recorded an emphatic away victory in the rescheduled fixture.

Enyimba have now climbed to 5th position on the log, and five points behind league leaders, Akwa United.

After the entire game time, it's Abia Warriors 0-1 Enyimba, so it ended at the Okigwe Township Stadium in a NPFL rescheduled fixture.
