By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Sunday witnessed another violence at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, in a game involving two title's contenders, Kano Pillars and Akwa United.
Nigfooty.com gathered that Kano Pillar fans intercepted the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 27 encounter between Kano Pillars and Akwa United. The match was interrupted in the 86th minute as Kano Pillars fans encroached the pitch to intimidate match officials, due to a goal scored by Kano Pillars that was ruled offside. After the intervention of Police and other officials, the referee was calling for the game to resume but seems Akwa United were not comfortable playing under that atmosphere on Sunday evening. The encounter was at 0-0 as at the moment the game was abandoned.
In another game, Katsina United thrashed NPFL Giants, Enyimba in Katsina, 3-1 it ended in favour of the home side.
