Good News for Samson Siasia on his Life-Ban

By Emmanuel Oladele - The news emanating from the media on Monday afternoon revealed that the life ban slammed on Nigerian coach, Samson Siasia by Court of Arbitration (CAS) has been reduced to five years, which means the Nigerian will be allowed to engage in Football related activities from August 2024. The 50,000 CHF has also been set aside.

The 53-year-old was handed a life ban by FIFA and CAS for accepting to collect bribes to fix matches.

The five year ban has been backdated to August 16th, 2019 and Siasia should be free by August 2024.

The former Super Eagles coach led the Nigeria U20 to a second place finish at the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup. He was also the head coach of Nigeria Men Football Team, when Nigeria won Silver at 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.
