Eriksen collapses, but now in a stable condition

By Emmanuel Oladele - Denmark and Inter Milan playmaker, Christian Eriksen collapsed during Euro 2020 game between Denmark and Finland on Saturday. The 29-year-old dropped to the pitch, teammates were already in tears believing that an unfortunate incident has happened, but the medics did well to resuscitate him. Eriksen collapsed about 40 minutes into the first half.

UEFA in a tweet confirmed that Eriksen was now in a stable condition, and had "been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised."

"He remains hospitalised at Rigshospitalet for further examinations," UEFA tweeted.


The match was put on hold for some time and later restarted based on request from both team after it has been confirmed that the Danish is stable. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Finland.
