By Olamide Oyetunji - FIFA Presidential candidate Patrice Motsepe’s bid to become CAF president has received a major boost after fellow Senegalese-born candidate, Augustin Senghor, on Friday evening confirmed his decision to pull out of the race.
Patrice Motsepe of South Africa will be the new CAF President come March 12 after his opponents Jacques Anouma, Augustin Senghor and Ahmed Yahya stepped down following advice from FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
He is a businessman and billionaire, Patrice is also the owner of Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
