AFCON 2013 Winner Replaced By NPFL Star For Benin Rep & Lesotho

By Olamide Oyetunji - Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr has replaced 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winning sensational defender Kenneth Omeruo with Nigeria Professional Football League star Adeleke Adekunle of Abia Warriors.

According to reports, Kenneth Omeruo was excused from Nigeria's March squad because he just recovered from an injury he suffered late February.

The Leganes defensive asset is the fourth player to withdraw from the fast approaching 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with Benin Republic and Lesotho after Sadiq Umar, Samuel Kalu and Moses Simon.
