By Tosin Omojola - General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Rasheed Balogun, was full of praises for the players of the Ibadan soccer lords, despite losing gallantly to Nnewi United on Saturday in Oba.
Balogun, who watched as his team battled the host on a very bad Rojenny Stadium turf before succumbing to an 87th minute goal, described the players as"true Warriors".
"I am highly impressed with your performance today, you fought very well on that poor pitch and I must say that you are all true warriors.
"I knowI if it were to be on a good pitch, you would have put them to where they belong but never mind, don't let the defeat weight you down, rather let us concentrate on how to win the next two matches against Vandrezzer and Ekiti United", stated the 3SC boss.
Continuing, the astute football administrator stayed. " What you have seen here today (Saturday), tells you that we are the team every team wants to beat, which means that we must also double our efforts for subsequent games.
"For tonight, I want you to be happy, forget about the defeat, enjoy yourselves, sleep well and let us look forward positively to the next game in eight days time", Ekulekule, as the 3SC boss is fondly called told the players st their hotel.
