Super Eagles Star Scores Second Goal of the Season in FA Cup Defeat

Super Eagles defender Semilogo Ajayi was on target as West Bromwich Albion suffered an early elimination in the FA Cup on Saturday.

West Brom manager Sam Allardyce was frustrated to see his side bow out the Emirates FA Cup at Blackpool on penalties.

League One team Blackpool produced one of the biggest shocks of FA Cup third-round action by beating West Brom via penalty shootout.

The Baggies were never in control of the proceedings with Semi Ajayi and Pereira equalizing twice in the second half but both side failed to produce winning goal in regulation and extra time.

Seasiders Blackpool conquered as West Brom were beaten 3-2 on penalties by the Sky Bet League One side at Bloomfield Road.

As for Nigerian defender Semilogo Ajayi, it is the second he will be finding the back of the net under new Coach Sam Allardyce but his goal would prevent his team from defeat.

It must be recalled that the Super Eagles star prevented Liverpool from winning a Premier League game by scoring the equalizer in the 1-1 draw at Anfield few weeks ago.
