PSG confirm the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino

By Emmanuel Oladele - Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the appointment of former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino. The club made the announcement on the official Twitter handle on Saturday as they welcome Pochettino to the club officially. See details below;

The 48-year-old replaced Thomas Tuchel who was sacked in December despite winning the French Ligue title and leading the team to the final of last season UEFA Champions League where they lost 1-0 to Champions Bayern Munich in Lisbon.

Pochettino first assignment will be in the League when PSG travels to St-Etienne on Wednesday 6th January for their Ligue 1 Matchday 18.

PSG are currently third on Ligue 1 log and their new manager Mauricio Pochettino will hope to turn situation around for the Paris team.

This will be the Argentine first assignment since leaving Tottenham in November 2019.
