A superb 71st minute strike from Paul Pogba earned United the needed 3 points to displace Liverpool from the top spot.

Manchester United now have 36 points, and Liverpool with 33 after 17 games for both teams.

The win will be Manchester United first away clean sheet of the season, having conceded 11 goals in the previous seven away games. The critics of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may now have a rethink about the former Manchester United forward.
