By Emmanuel Oladele - Many will remember Glory Iroka the midfield maestro for Nigeria at the 2010 FIFA U20 Women World Cup in Germany. She was dubbed the 'Xavi' of women's football but was never heard as expected after the 2010 U20 World Cup.
Iroka now 31 was known for her passes delivery and great tackles on the pitch, her ability to control the midfield was instrumental to Nigeria second place finish in Germany and was seen as one of the great players in the tournament that will add strength to the Super Falcons midfield.
Glory Iroka as a Rivers United player was also part of the Super Falcons squad that won the 2014 Africa Women's Championship in Namibia but was not so much involved. Also part of the squad to FIFA World Cup in Germany, 2011.
What could have happen to this bright star that never live up to expectations?
