Nigerian Teenager Bags First UEFA Champions League Goal

By Olamide Oyetunji - Nigeria eligible player Karim Adeyemi bagged his first UEFA Champions League goal on Tuesday night for Red Bull Salzburg.

Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg picked up an important 3-1 away victory over Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow to reignite their hopes of qualifying to the Last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

A brace in the first half by striker Mergim Berisha and youngster Karim Adeyemi's goals were enough to defeat Lokomotiv and pushed Salzburg out of the basement of Group A into third place with 4 points one less than second placed Atletico Madrid who faced defending competition champions Bayern Munich later on Tuesday.

Karim David Adeyemi 18 was born in Munich ,Germany to a Nigerian father and Romanian mother and he is eligible to play for three countries.

He has represented German at U-16 and U-17 levels.
