By Emmanuel Oladele - Nigeria Amputee National team captain Sarafadeen Olalekan Oyeleke has cried out over unpaid allowances by the Federal Government and Sports Ministry, in a chat with nigfooty.com, the player lamented how difficult things have being for himself and his teammates and have not yet received their allowances since they did the country proud in Angola, October last year.
According to Sarafadeen Olalekan Oyeleke, "We haven't been paid as I chat you now. Nothing from the government and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Even most of the players are out of their homes due to rent payments and a player is staying under the bridge.
"Things aren't been easy with the players."
Recall that the Special Eagles as the are called did the country proud in 2019 Amputee Nations Cup in Angola where they lost 2-0 to host Angola in the final.
The team through its captain Saraferdeen Olalekan Oyeleke is pleading to the Federal Government and Ministry of Youth Sports to look into their case so that their allowances can be paid.
