By Olamide Oyetunji - Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi has been selected as part of the UEFA Champions League team of the week for the match day four.
Zaidu Sanusi was influential when he scored his first ever goal in the best club competition in the world for Portuguese giants FC Porto to move closer to qualifying for the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
He scored one of the goals as the Portuguese League champions overpowered Olympique Marseille in France with a clinical and comprehensive 2-0 victory.
According to the team of the week named by the European soccer governing body UEFA, Zaidu Sanusi has been chosen as of the five defenders in a 5-3-2 formation.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was also selected for scoring a brace while Lazio striker Ciro Immobile also made the team.
Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman is one of the three men in midfield while Sergiño Dest and Martin Braithwaite are representatives of FC Barcelona.
