By Olamide Oyetunji - Super Eagles striking duo of Paul Ebere Onuachu and Cyriel Kolawole Dessers were both on song for KRC Genk in the Belgian top flight on Friday.
The two lanky forwards were both on target in for the Belgian outfit in their impressive 4-0 victory over Eupen at the Luminus Arena on Match Day 11 of the Belgian Jupiler League.
It was Onuachu, who was making his eighth start for the Blue and white who got them off the mark with his ninth goal of the season, scoring from the penalty spot in the fifth minute.
Coach Jess Thorup opted for a slightly different strategy with Cyriel Dessers coming into the team as a second striker and it paid off nicely with both attackers combining.
Early in the second half Onuachu sent his Nigerian brother Cyriel Dessers diagonally towards goal, and Cyriel finished it nicely, with a place ball in the far corner.
Dessers has scored three goals this season since his big money move from the Dutch Eredivisie during the summer as the league's top scorer.
Theo Bongonda scored a second half brace for Genk as they ran out victorious for a third win in a row and moved up to fourth on the league table.
It must be recalled that Onuachu has been placed on stand-by by Gernot Rohr in the recently released 24-man shortlist ahead of the double-header against Sierra Leone, while Dessers was left out completely.
Onuachu has been criticised for failing to replicate his club form on national team assignments as many are calling for his complete omission from the Super Eagles setup.
