Manchester United are ready to make offer for Gareth Bale

By Emmanuel Oladele - Manchester United are reportedly ready to make offer for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale, but will make a short-term deal with the 31-year-old.

United will prefer to take the Real Madrid midfielder on a season loan deal at first, with the option to extend the deal for another year.

Gareth Bale will have to take a wage cut for the deal to go through.

The Galacticos are desperate to let the Welshman leave, so as to ease his £600,000 per week wages on the club.

Real Madrid will prefer a fee of £18.5m for the winger rather than a loan deal.

Gareth Bale is being considered as alternative option for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho who may not be leaving Germany this summer, though United are not giving up totally on the Englishman.
