By Emmanuel Oladele - According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United are leading the way to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and the Galacticos are optimistic that Ole Gunnar Solskjær will make a late move for the Welshman.

The 31-year-old currently earn £600,000 per week before tax at Santiago Bernabeu, but Madrid are desperate to offload the star to get rid of his huge weekly wages at the club.

Tottenham is also interested in Bale who Real Madrid want to offload for a fee around £18.5m.

Though Manchester United are still interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho but seems to be losing patience on the Englishman.
