Arsenal's bid for Lyon Playmaker has been rejected

By Oladele Emmanuel - The Gunners have gotten their bid rejected for Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar. The Mikel Arteta led side tabled an offer of £31.4m plus a player, but Lyon has refused to accept the offer.

The 22-year-old midfielder was instrumental to Lyon's semifinal finish in last season UEFA Champions League.

The Gunners are hoping to add attacking options after signing Willian from Chelsea but the bid for another attacking option seems to have suffered a hug blow after Lyon rejected a £31.4m offer presented for Houssem Aouar.
