Arsenal are set to make New Bid for Lyon Playmaker after their initial bid was rejected

By Emmanuel Oladele - Arsenal are ready to make another bid for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar after their initial bid of £31.2 plus a player was rejected by the French Giants.

Reports from FabrizioRomano revealed that Arsenal are in talks with the player's agent over an improved bid.

The player is valued at £54.5m and Lyon are not ready to accept any offer less than that amount. The club also revealed that they won't entertain any player swap.

Gunners are seeking to bolster their squad ahead of the new season, though they have secured the service of former Chelsea playmaker Willian but getting Aouar inclusion will be massive for the club.

The 22-year-old was instrumental to Lyon semifinal finish in the 2019/20 season UEFA Champions League.
