By Emmanuel Oladele - On Wednesday night French Giants Lyon fell behind in-form Bayern Munich at the Estádio José Alvalade, 3-0 it ended in favour of the German side Bayern.
The Rudi Garcia led side were full of energy and determination in the game in which they ended losing but not humiliated unlike what happened between Bayern and Barcelona on Friday night, where the Spanish Giants were beaten 8-2.
Though Bayern Munich dominated the game but are not in total control like they did against the Catalans Giants.
Bayern were leading 2-0 from the first half courtesy of Serge Gnabry 18th and 33rd minute strikes, but wasn't a comfortable lead as Lyon were also attacking back but were unlucky to get a goal until the Bavarians scored the third goal via a superb heading from Robert Lewandowski, which earned Hans-Dieter Flick side a comfortable lead in the 88th minute.
