Yemi Lawal express displeasure over report credited to him on the sale of Osun United by Former Governor Chief Bisi Akande

By Emmanuel Oladele - Osun State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Yemi Lawal has expressed his displeasure over a report credited to him that Osun United was sold by former Governor of the state Chief Bisi Akande during his administration.

Chief Press Secretary to the former Governor, Adelani Baderinwa has also responded to the claim faulting the claim of the Commissioner for Youths and Sports in the State of Osun. Baderinwa revealed that Osun State never own a Football club during Bisi Akande administration, tagging Lawal's claim as 'gross misinformation'.

Yemi Lawal has also expressed his displeasure to the report published by a Newspaper (Osun Defender) crediting a report to him, which claimed that the State owned Football Club Osun United was sold by former Executive Governor of the State Chief Bisi Akande, "there is no iota of truth in the said publication or the former Commissioner for information and strategy claim, rather the writer of the story wants to be mischievous as I consider it as cheap blackmail and one to distract my good work as Commissioner for Youths and Sports in the State," Yemi Lawal stated.

"The writer of the story clearly showed his incompetence as a media professional, didn't take his time to balance his work by hearing from my office, rather he was overzealous going to press."
