UFC fighter Conor McGregor retires

By Emmanuel Oladele - UFC fighter Conor McGregor has retired from the sport.

The former featherweight and lightweight Champion took to his Twitter account to announce his retirement on Sunday June 7. McGregor tweeted, "Hey guys I've decided to retire from fighting. Thank you all for amazing memories! What a ride it's been! Here is a picture of myself and my mother in Las Vegas post one of my World title wins! Pick the home of your dreams Mags I love you! Whatever you desire is yours"

The Irish fighter ended his career with a 22-4-0 record. He was the first UFC fighter to hold two championship belts at the same time, a record he achieved in 2016 when he defeated Eddie Alvarez in a lightweight title fight, which added to his featherweight title.

The flighter retired in 2016 and also 2019 but still return to the sport, but at this time, it seems it all finished.
