By Emmanuel Oladele - Manchester United have reached agreement with Chinese Club Shanghai Shenhua to extend Odion Ighalo loan deal until January 2021.
According to reports, the new deal has no option for Manchester United to buy the player after this current extension expires.
The Nigerian international made a surprise move to Old Trafford on January Transfer window deadline day, on a six month loan which expires on May 31.
The loan extension was difficult holding to the inability of both teams to reach an agreement early enough and with speculation that the 30-year-old might be going back to China, but the Nigerian will now remain at Old Trafford until January 31 of next year.
Ighalo had an impressive start at Manchester United, scoring four goals in eight appearances, three starts and five of which he started from the bench.
The English Premier League is expected to return on June 17 and Ighalo will hope to continue with his impressive performance.
