Kenedy Boboye is a Ex-Nigerian Footballer who played for Dolphin FC now Rivers United but now Akwa United Head Coach and Manager in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
He was called up to the National U23 side in the 1995, he was part of the qualifiers for Nigeria but never made the tournament.
The Akwa United FC manager took to his Twitter account to narrate the touching story of how he missed the Atlanta 96 Olympics where Nigeria clinched gold.
According to Boboye, "I played in all d qualifiers for '96 Olympics except the last game because of car accident injuries. I didn’t recover on time to make the squad to Atlanta and that ruled me out of having an Olympic gold medal around my neck. That's my biggest regret ever. I thank God for life though."
The Nigerian also played for Saint-Denis Saint-Leu Football Club in France and Manning Rangers FC in South Africa.
