South Africa League is far ahead of Nigeria League, see how much the highest paid player earn as monthly salary

By Oladele Emmanuel - Khama Billiat is the the highest paid player in the South African League and currently play for ABSA Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs.

The 29-year-old currently earn R10 million annually (N212.4 million) and R833,000 monthly which amount to 17.7 million Nigeria naira. This made him earn far above any player in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Currently in the NPFL there is no player who earn up to two million naira as monthly salary,, though there could be few earning above N1m.

A league that has a club that can pay a player above N17m monthly is far above the Nigeria Professional Football League. Many may think the amount players earns does not impact a league, it does.

The former Memelodi Sundowns midfielder who also plays for Zimbabwe national team has a big mansion with all forms of luxuries and luxury cars such as Rolls Royce, BMW, Infinity SUV, Range Rover Lumma CLR RS 2019 model among others.

Also, Itumeleng Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper earn around R480,000 (N10.2 million) monthly.

Will Nigeria Professional Football League one day have a player who earn above N10m a month, time will tell.
