By Oladele Emmanuel - Revelation of corruptions in the National team continues to unfold as former Esperance of Tunisia forward Michael Eneramo explained how he missed the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
The former Super Eagles star told Owngoalnigeria.com that his spot was handed to the former FC Schalke 04 forward, Chinedu Obasi.
"NFF lied to FIFA that I was injured and replaced me with Obasi in World Cup 2010 Squad," as captioned on Owngoalnigeria.com
"Obasi can't deny that he didn't go to the World Cup 2010 on merit. It was my spot that was handed to him after my details have been submitted to FIFA. It happened after one friendly game and the excuse they used in removing my name was that I was injured but it wasn't true," Eneramo told Owngoalnigeria.com
"I was so pained by the decision because I had the chance of representing Tunisia but turned it down to play for Nigeria. Although we pipped them to the World Cup ticket, I still feel maybe I should have played for them instead of Nigeria, judging by how I was treated," Eneramo added.
