This game that many Nigerians will emotionally remember because it actually. brought uncontrollable tear to the eyes of many. A lot of Nigerians watched this game with the famous ancient Box Black and White Television, the game Denmark thrashed Nigeria 4-1 at the 16th Edition of the FIFA World Cup in France 1998, a match many will never forget.
The match happened on the 28th of June, 1998, 20:00 Nigeria Time (+1GMT). After the game, streets were silent, people were shedding tears and a lot of people refused to take dinner that night in Nigeria as many continues to blame the coach, players and others.
As at 77th minute of the encounter, Nigeria were already down with 4-0, though Tijani Babangida gave Nigeria a consolation goal in the 78th minute, but it was too late to comeback into the game and that was how Nigeria were eliminated from the Tournament with a 4-1 defeat from Denmark, a game Nigerians will never forget.
