The Nigerian forward has been in a flashing and radiant form in the Belarusian women’s league which earned her player of the season award for 2019 season. She surpassed some of the league’s eminent players to conciliate the honours.
It was no surprise as the Nigerian claimed the prestigious award in the Belarus soccer awards gala marshaled by the Belarusian Soccer Federation. The Nigerian assumed the “well deserved” award after netting 44 goals in 26 appearances for her team including 10 in seven champions league matches after bowing out to Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona in the round of 16.
The 29 year old lead her team to a home treble in 2019 not excluding the qualification for the champions league.
Her individual brilliance recompensated her with a new contract which keeps her till September 2020 obstructing interests from top European sides.
Having signed a contract extension with Minsk, she will certainly aspire for the top once more and might get a surprise call up to the super falcons as the qualifications for the 2020 AWCON qualifiers draws near.
