FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup originally scheduled to hold in November has been postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) which has killed over 50,000 people across the world.
The under age tournament which will be held in five venues in India was initially scheduled to hold between November 2nd - 21st this year.
Bureau of the FIFA Council recently set up a group called FIFA-Confederations Working Group, consisting of FIFA Administration, Secretary Generals and top Executives from all Confederations, their assignment is to address the consequences of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Working group have now taken their decision to postpone the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in India and also FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Panama/Costa Rica initially scheduled for August and September 2020, according to a statement released by FIFA, a new date will be chosen.
