Bayern Munich Rising Star Snubs the Super Eagles

By Ilekhuoba Taiye - The desire of having Bayern Munich striker, Joshua Zirkzee in the Super Eagles have suffered a massive blow after the youngster disclosed his love for the Dutch National team.

Zirkzee who was born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents is eligible to dorn the colours of the Nigeria national team despite representing the Dutch national team at the youth level.

Weeks ago, it was reported that the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick and Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr were on the mission to tempt the young striker to the national team but it seems like the youngster is keen on conserving his Dutch nationality after his latest words on VTB.

"No, I'm not really working on that yet. I'm not a regular based player here, so I don't think about it then, but I have also seen how fast things can go, so of course, it is very secretly in the back of your mind".

"Oranje is a dream and as a young footballer I think it makes sense to dream about it".

The 18 year old made his maiden appearance for the German giants in a champions league clash against Tottenham in December. So far, Zirkzee has put three goals at the back of the net in 5 Bundesliga appearances for the Bavarians.
