Manchester United have completed a loan move for former Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua in the last-minute of the January transfer window.
United were looking forward to signing a striker before the closure of the January transfer window so as to have more attacking options and moreover to provide for Marcus Rashford who is currently on the sideline.
The Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led side were hoping to sign either Odion Ighalo or Josh King of Bournemouth before the deadline, but have now settled for former Watford Striker Odion Ighalo.
Ighalo will remain with United until the end of the season.
