Mario Melchiot: Willy Caballero can become Chelsea No.1

Chelsea second choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero has been tipped by Mario Melchiot to become Chelsea No.1. goalkeeper.

Mario Melchiot is a retired Netherland defender who played for Ajax, Chelsea, Wigan and other European Clubs in his days as active footballer.

Melchiot want Caballero to displace Kepa in Chelsea's eleven, according to the former Chelsea defender, "Willy Caballero can permanently displace Kepa Arrizabalaga as Chelsea No.1 goalkeeper" Melchiot told Sky Sports News, after the the 25-year-old Kepa Arrizabalaga was dropped in Chelsea's 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium.

"I don't want to say that Kepa is not a good goalkeeper but you don't want your goalkeeper to be a liability," the former Wigan defender added.

Kepa Arrizabalaga errors and mistakes in recent time is almost relegating him as Chelsea's first choice goalkeeper, but seems to still be in Lampard's plan until the summer transfer window.
