The battle line has been drawn as Manchester United and Chelsea are set to do battle over five most wanted transfer targets in the summer. In the list of players Chelsea and Manchester United are competing for, are;
1. Jadon Sancho: The 19-year-old was a transfer target for several European clubs during the January transfer window but could not complete a move away from Borussia Dortmund.
The England International who is currently valued at around £100m is on the wishlist of both Chelsea and Manchester United and will have to battle for the signature of the player when the summer transfer window opens. Sancho has registered 12 goals, 13 assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances this season.
2. Timo Werner: The German is another Bundesliga player who is reportedly wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United.
The 23-year-old RB Leipzig is one of the hottest stars in Germany currently having played 25 games this season scoring 23 goals. His buyout clause is just £42m.
3. Moussa Dembele: Is another attacker is on the wishlist of both Chelsea and Manchester United. Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with the player during the January transfer window but was not willing to meet the £85m asking price from Lyon for the player.
Nigfooty. Com also gathered that United sent scouts to two recent matches to watch the 23-year-old striker at the Groupama Stadium for a possible move in the summer.
4. Lautaro Martinez: The Inter Milan striker was reportedly wanted by Manchester United initially, but recent report has it that Chelsea have joined the race to sign the Argentina international.
The prolific striker has a release clause of £93m. The 22-year-old preferred destination is said to be Barcelona, but Chelsea or Manchester United may be lucky to land the player in the summer.
5. Kalidou Koulibaly: With so much interest for the Senegalese during the January transfer window, the Napoli defender could not complete a move away from Italy.
The Mirror confirmed that both Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in the player.
If United or Chelsea must secure the service of the 28-year-old Napoli defender, they must be willing to meet the Senegalese £127m release clause which become active in June.
It will be an interesting Red-Blue tug-of-war this summer.
