Arsenal are reportedly close on signing Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng. With Calum Chambers out injured, the German will bring a reinforcement to Arsenal's defence.
Reports in Germany says Arsenal have been in contact with Bayern Munich and have been informed that a deal can be reached for 16-18 million euros.
Boateng has also shown his readiness to join Arsenal by telling the Bundesliga Giants that he want to leave the Allianz Arena this January. The German has initially been told by Bayern boss Hansi Flick that he's not guaranteed a regular first-team football at the club.
Nigfooty.com also gathered that, an unnamed Italian club is also linked with the 31-year-old Germany International but the Gunners are said to be leading the race for the defender.
